Choose a radio station and outline: The radio station I am going to be talking about is BBC Radio 1. BBC radio 1 is owned and ran by the conglomerate company BBC and was founded on the 30th OF September 1967 it specialises in modern popular music and current chart hits throughout the day, it is also a national radio station which means it is broadcasted to all areas of the UK instead of just being broadcasted to a specific part of the UK and this is also an advantage as it allows for a wider target audience and more listeners, however the down side to this is they have to play a mix of everything to make it suitable for all listeners. This radio station is also owned by a conglomerate which is called BBC which means that BBC radio one is a subsidiary. BBC Radio 1 is also a public service broadcaster (PSB) which means that the broadcasting is intended for public entertainment rather than to make any profit.
